Yes, like Superman's mom. Like your Aunt Martha. Like the world's most famous homemaker.
The name Mar-Go comes from my first and last name together: Martha Golea. It matches my style better than the image of farmwives and fussbudgets who have made my name famous. I think you'll agree! And if you forget and call me Margo, don't worry, you are not the first.
MARGO history
I have a degree in Art and a career in Marketing. Rather than fighting a Jekyll/Hyde battle between my artistic side and my detail-loving side, I decided long ago to make the two work together. And it’s been a glorious journey!
The MARGO magic really started when I combined my art skills (collaboration, critical thinking, listening, adaptability) with my professional skills (attention to detail, public speaking, problem solving, customer service) to build an energizing career that
actually pays the bills.
You want specifics?
I started in Marketing in 2007 because I wanted to work for an architecture firm and my skills fit that job description. Over the years (decades) I have specialized primarily in document design, communications, and the face to face stuff. I love a trade show!
More recently, I've shifted into web and brand design, working with companies from restaurants to furniture stores, startups to Fortune 500s. My favorite career moments are helping a traditional corporation revolutionize its industry and watching small business owners light up when they see their brand-new identity for the first time.
